It's a day when our campus comes alive with divine energy as students, parents, and well-wishers unite in reverence and joy. It is a day to celebrate the pursuit of learning, the power of knowledge, and the timeless traditions that shape our journey.

St. Vivekananda English Academy shines on.

Vivekans Anubhav Thakuria (Class VIII) and Shivraj Biswas (Class VII) won the 1st Prize at the District Level Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani 2024 organized by District Institute of Education & Training, Kamrup (Metro) in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Assam.

Glimpses of Saraswati Puja 2024

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh for their dedicated efforts in curating and organizing "Sheikh Russell Day" at our esteemed institution, #StVivekanandaEnglishAcademy, Guwahati. It was a proud privilege for us to host distinguished dignitaries on this solemn occasion.

We were honored to have in our midst:
1. His Excellency Mr. Ruhul Amin, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh and Head of the Mission in Guwahati.
2. Mr. Suvas Chandra Singho Roy, an Eminent Writer and Political Analyst from Bangladesh.
3. Mr. Miguel Das Queah, Founder and Executive Director of UTSAH.

The event was a somber commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sheikh Russell, a young soul who tragically lost his life at the tender age of 10, along with his family members, at the hands of assailants. During the event, Mr. Miguel Das Queah aptly emphasized in his address that during times of conflict or war, it is the interests and well-being of innocent children that are often compromised.

As part of the event, a drawing competition was held to mark the occasion. In Category 1, we witnessed our students creating beautiful portraits of Sheikh Russell, paying a heartfelt tribute to his memory. Category 2, themed "War & Humanism," saw our students at their creative best. Through their artistic expressions on posters, they passionately appealed for peace, echoing the sentiment that peace should prevail and that we should strive for a world where the lives of children are not sacrificed.

This event served as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing the innocence and dreams of our children and working collectively for a more peaceful and humane world. May we continue to stand for the values of peace, compassion, and unity.

#NANO comes to #SVEA

Glimpses of the 1st day of the 5-day workshop series on #NANOTECHNOLOGY designed for a selected group of interested #Vivekans from Class 10 by the team from the #CentreofExcellenceinNanotechnology, #AssamDowntownUniversity. Dr Rakesh Afre, Dy. Director, Innovation and Arnab Kr. Sarkar, Research Officer conducted today's session, which captured the curiosity and attention of the students and enthralled them with the applications of Nanotechnology.

The Nanotechnology module curated for the Vivekans is just one of the multiple activities planned for #StVivekanandaEnglishAcademy by #AdtU, the mentor University.

Our sincere gratitude to Dr. Sunandan Baruah, Director, Directorate of Innovation, Startup and Acceleration, Adtu.

Looking forward to many more meaningful engagements in the coming months, leading to igniting the curious young minds. After all, education is about lighting the spark, evoking the passion.

Pathway to Purpose: Career Clarity Program

At #SVEA, our commitment extends beyond nurturing the academic journey of our #Vivekans; we also guide them through the process of transitioning into life beyond school.

The inaugural session of our "Pathway to Purpose: Career Clarity Program", a programme specifically tailored for our Class 10 students, was conducted at the school auditorium by Dinesh Lahoti.

This initiative is an integral component of our comprehensive #NEEV program, meticulously crafted for Vivekans in collaboration with #Edugenie.

During this session, active engagement was observed as students eagerly sought insights into realizing their career aspirations. Extensive discussions revolved around the selection of subject combinations essential for pursuing diverse career paths.

Our "Pathway to Purpose: Career Clarity Program" is designed to span the next two and a half years, effectively guiding students on their journey towards undergraduate education. It will encompass a series of sessions, including interactions with professionals from diverse fields and one-on-one consultations, all designed to aid Vivekans in clarifying their career objectives and making informed choices regarding their future academic institutions.

We extend our gratitude to Dinesh Lahoti for his valuable contributions during the session. Together with insights from our esteemed Principal, these contributions significantly enriched the students' understanding and perspective.

NANO comes to #SVEA.

An outreach programme on "Technology driven Innovation Leading to Entrepreneurship" was conducted for the #Vivekans by the team from the Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology, Assam Downtown University. Dr Sunandan Baruah, Director, Directorate of Innovation, Startup and Acceleration, Dr Rakesh Afre, Dy. Director, Innovation, Mr Pranjal Sarmah, Associate Director, Entrepreneurship and Incubation, Mr Devabrata Sarmah, Incubation Officer and Ms. Nairika Deka, Doctoral Student, Centre of Excellence in Nanotechnology, captured the curiosity and attention of the students and enthralled them with the applications of Nanotechnology This workshop was the first engagement in the long list of future collaboration with AdtU. As the mentor University for SVEA, today's programme was the first one curated under the Outreach programme. Looking forward to many more meaningful engagements in the coming months, leading to igniting the curious young minds.

Our Principal Mam, Mitra Som Saha had a long cherished dream. She wanted Vivekans to participate in MUNs in huge numbers and ace the art of oratory with clarity of thoughts and mastery over content.

Vivekans coached by the Debate mentor, Bishaldeep Kakati gave wings to her dreams.

SVEA was adjudged the 'BEST INSTITUTION' at the NEF MUN, held at NEF Law College.

A huge contingent of Vivekans participated in the MUN.

Our Karate Champs once again win laurels for their alma mater.

St. Vivekananda English Academy is radiant with pride and glory as the Champs go on to win 6 Gold, 11 Silver and 10 Bronze in the 6th All Assam Karate Championship held on 30th July, 2023 taking the total medal tally to 27.

St. Vivekananda English Academy thus won the Best Team award.

"Experiential Career Guidance Session"

Here are a few glimpses of our Vivekans interacting with Colonel Ashok Kumar, Indian Army.

Instilling a sense of purpose, integrating discipline in one's life, and being aware of the career options are a few of the objectives that SVEA wishes to achieve through these sessions. We desire that every Vivekan makes an informed career choice.

St. Vivekananda English Academy celebrated ‘Pre-Bohag Bihu’ at its premises with unprecedented enthusiasm in a bid to endorse and make students learn about the rich and vibrant culture of Assam.

The celebration witnessed extensive participation of students and teachers and involved traditional dances and songs. It was, indeed, a great fun-filled and much-awaited celebration for all of them.
